Description

The Funds Commitment course provides a comprehensive overview of how to create and manage funds commitments within IFMS. Participants will learn how to create commitments with multiple line items, modify financial coding information, close individual lines, and set up tolerances. The course also covers how to create commitments for future years, monitor consumption, and track related invoice and cheque information. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to practice in the system and learn how to find vendors and general ledger accounts.

Learning objectives:

By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Create and manage commitments with multiple line items.
  • Modify financial coding information for commitment lines.
  • Close commitment lines and set up tolerances.
  • Create commitments for future years.
  • Visualize and monitor the consumption of commitments.
  • Access and review related invoices and cheque information.
  • Locate vendors and general ledger accounts within the system.
  • Use the system to complete real-world tasks related to funds commitments.
