Description

The NextGen Network invites the employees of the Department of Justice Canada to a session on civility, respect and preventing harassment and violence in the workplace which will be hosted by the Harassment and Violence Prevention Program (HVPP).

The session will emphasize on the importance of civility and respect in daily interactions, highlighting the negative impacts of incivility on performance, health, and team dynamics, while offering practical strategies to foster an inclusive work environment.

It will also provide a comprehensive overview of the HVPP and explain the reporting and resolution processes, and available resources to support employees in creating a safe and respectful workplace.

The session’s objectives are :

  • Providing an overview of the Harassment and Violence Prevention Program services
  • Clarifying joint roles and responsibilities
  • Defining the resolution processes, Harassment and Violence Prevention Resolution Process and its intersectionality with other support services
  • Defining what incivility can look like in the workplace, and how to address it and mitigate its negative impacts on team dynamics and the workplace overall
  • Raise awareness, respond to questions and address general concerns
