By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

You will learn about a pay cycle;

How to identify if your rate of pay is correct;

How to calculate your biweekly rate, weekly and daily rate of pay;

What is considered a mandatory deductions;

What are mandatory benefits;

What benefits are optional;

How to calculate some of you mandatory and optional benefit rates;

Who and when you are eligible for Dental benefits;

Who and when you are eligible for Public Service Health Care Plan (PSCHP) benefits;

What are the differences in the levels of coverage in PSCHP;

Annual leave entitlements; and

How to handle pay issues.
