Description
The Legislative Services Branch Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and Legislative Drafting will present Otto, the artificial intelligence platform developed by Justice Canada. One of the Working Group’s primary aims has been to determine whether recent advances in generative AI, particularly advances related to large language models (LLM), may have use cases in relation to legislative drafting. We will share the use cases that we have identified and that would also be useful for managers at Justice.
Together, we will explore the platform’s four main tabs:
- Legislation Search
- Summarization
- Chat
- Q&A
The presentation will cover the following topics:
- What is a large language model (LLM);
- The strengths and limitations of LLMs;
- A detailed presentation of the Otto platform;
- A practical demonstration of Otto’s features tailored to the needs of managers.
