Description
Please note that this course is open to Justice Canada legal professionals only (lawyers, notaries who are members of the Chambre des notaires du Québec and paralegals).
The Constitutional and Administrative Law Conference surveys important developments in constitutional, administrative and Crown law. It offers Justice counsel insights into legal trends and recent decisions relevant to their work as legal advisors.
This year’s conference will feature a special fireside chat with the Honourable Stéphane Dion, currently Diplomat in Residence of the Faculty of Arts and Science at the Université de Montréal.
Topics covered
- Constitutional questions in Canadian federalism
- Emerging developments in Aboriginal rights in the constitutional context
- Recent cases regarding administrative law, including privative clauses and the review of non-statutory powers
This course is bilingual, with interpretation available in both official languages.
