Description

Please note that this course is open to Justice Canada legal professionals only (lawyers, notaries who are members of the Chambre des notaires du Québec and paralegals).

The NLS has relaunched a Legal Project Management (LPM) training program with a renewed focus on practical application, relevance, and strong alignment with NLS work. This updated program is designed to help litigation practitioners apply LPM principles in ways that better align litigation strategy with client business objectives and budget expectations.

Grounded in the tools, workflows, and challenges specific to our environment, the training emphasizes how LPM can support more efficient, consistent, and collaborative file management. Delivered through panel-style sessions, the program features NLS practitioners sharing real examples from their own files to demonstrate how LPM can support our legal work including: early and effective team discussions, task and outcome planning, role clarity across teams and partners, structured communication planning, appropriate work allocation, risk identification and mitigation, and ongoing monitoring and adjustment to support high-quality and efficient service delivery.
