Description

This course is intended for those interested in the drafting of legislative texts in French. Jurilinguists and legistic revisors are encouraged to take this course as well.

Drafting definitions is one of the most complex tasks of legislative counsel. Definitions play a critical role in explaining the legislative text and have a real impact on the clarity of the legislative text as a whole.

The format of the course will allow participants to acquire knowledge on the best practices to implement and the pitfalls to avoid in the drafting of the French version of definitions in federal legislative texts.
