Please note that this course is open to Justice Canada legal professionals only (lawyers, notaries who are members of the Chambre des notaires du Québec and paralegals).
The Constitutional and Administrative Law Conference surveys important developments in constitutional, administrative and Crown law. It offers Justice counsel insights into legal trends and recent decisions relevant to their work as legal advisors.
Topics covered
- Developments in administrative law, including issues related to the use of artificial intelligence
- Challenge to exercise of the prorogation power (MacKinnon v. Canada (Attorney General), 2025 FC 422)
- Crown liability
- Division of powers and interjurisdictional immunity
This course is bilingual, with interpretation available in both official languages.
