Description

Join Justice Canada’s Library Services team to actualize theory into practice with a step-by-step guide on how to conduct a legislative history and find legislative intent.

Learning objectives / Topics covered:

At the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Navigate online resources to trace a particular section of legislation back to the first instance of a specific term, a subsection, or a whole section; and
  • Navigate online resources to locate bills, debates, and supplementary parliamentary documents to understand the intent of the legislators.

Client: Library Services in collaboration with the Centre of Expertise for Learning and Professional Development (CoELPD).

Registration deadline: 5 working days prior to the course date.

Participants are responsible for adding their training activities to their Outlook calendars.
