Description
More than ever, Regulatory related issues continue to be central to key government initiatives. We’ll start off the day by hearing from Health Canada’s Deputy Minister Stephen Lucas, whose department has been involved in attention-grabbing files like drug decriminalization and national pharmacare. We will then explore the issues brought about by the Supreme Court’s Reference re Impact Assessment Act decision. We will also discuss the issue of regulating artificial intelligence (AI), including regulating its use in the public and private sectors, as well as the Internet, which will feature an external expert’s views on the Online Streaming Act, the Online News Act, and the online safety initiative. We will finally have a smorgasbord of BRLP’s most interesting recent regulatory files.
This course is Bilingual, with interpretation available in both official languages
