By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the purpose of the Access to Information Act (ATIA)
  • Define key terms pertaining to access to information
  • Describe the right of access process
  • Identify some types of information that are exempt and excluded from the provisions of the ATIA
  • Describe how the ATIA is enforced
  • Identify some amendments to the ATIA that have been implemented as part of a two-phase review

Presented by the Centre for Information and Privacy Law in collaboration with the Legal Practices Policy Division (LPPD).
