Description

This online training provides an overview of the new Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) requirements and their impact on staffing activities.

 

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

• describe the recent PSEA amendments;

• explain the role and responsibilities of each stakeholder in relation to the requirements;

• access and use the resources available to them to perform the evaluation of biases and barriers in assessment, as indicated at subsection 36(2);

• identify potential biases and barriers and find ways to eliminate or at least mitigate their impact in both advertised and non-advertised appointment processes;

• conduct fair assessments that meet the requirements of the PSEA.
