Description

This information session for employees is designed to provide an overview of the work place assessment process conducted under the purview of the Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations. It provides context on what the process entails, including its scope and limitations, who/ when and how to participate, what factors are assessed as well as the steps following the process.

It also offers an opportunity for participants to ask questions, raise concerns and have open conversations about the process with subject matter experts from the Justice Canada’s Harassment and Violence Prevention Program (also known as Designated Recipient’s Office)

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

•Understand the Purpose

Gain a clear understanding of the workplace assessment process and its role in preventing harassment and violence under the applicable regulations

 

•Explore the Process Scope and Limitations

Learn what the assessment covers, what it does not, and how it fits within broader organizational efforts.

 

•Identify Participation Roles and Timing

Discover who is involved, when participation occurs, and how employees can contribute to the process.

 

•Recognize Key Assessment Factors

Understand the elements and workplace conditions that are evaluated during the assessment.

 

•Learn About Post-Assessment Steps

Become familiar with what happens after the assessment is completed, including follow-up actions and implementation.

 

•Engage with Subject Matter Experts

Ask questions, raise concerns, and participate in open dialogue with representatives from Justice Canada’s Harassment and Violence Prevention Program (Designated Recipient’s Office).
