Description
As reflected in Canada's population, the nature of the public service is changing. In particular, the demographics of the workforce at Justice Canada are undergoing a dramatic transformation. We all need to do our part to promote a culture of diversity, equality, inclusivity and respect. One of the biggest challenges we face is to respond effectively to generational change. That means we need to understand the characteristics and needs of each generational group (e.g. Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z).
This workshop aims to enhance the legal and professional capacities of employees and managers of the Department of Justice Canada by practicing various communication styles, active listening skills and generational awareness through scenarios.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
• Develop your knowledge of generational definitions and differences
• Identify strategies on how to communicate and lead each of the generations
• Learn about the impact of generational stereotyping and how to manage it.
