Description

Emotional intelligence, or EI, is the ability to identify and manage our own emotions and to focus our emotional energy productively, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships. Because of the rapid pace of change, we need to be able to adapt and effectively relate with the people around us. To equip us in these skills, we can learn to better understand our emotional intelligence and provide what machines cannot: quality human connection.

EI is a key indicator of human performance and development, enhancing every aspect of our lives. Strong and effective leaders are able to not only successfully meet their objectives and mandates, but are skilled at identifying, understanding, and managing their own emotions, all while empowering their teams.

The purpose of the EQ-i 2.0assessment is to take a snapshot of your EI as it currently stands, and to identify areas that you might wish to develop, to support your personal and professional development.

How can I request an EQi Assessment?

1. To request an EQ-i 2.0 Assesment, send us an email at EQ_QE@justice.gc.ca;
2. Shortly after, you will receive an email with information regarding the online questionnaire you need to complete. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire;
   
   • Please be on the lookout for an email from Multi-Health Systems, with your assessment link contained therein. The email will come from noreply@mhs.com
3. After you submit your responses you will be contacted by the EQi team here at Justice, and we will arrange a defrief conversation with one of our trained EQ-i 2.0 coaches. The conversations are confidential, as are your assessment results. No information about your results will be shared with anyone. If you have any concerns about this confidentiality, let us know and we will contact you directly to discuss.
