Please note that this course is open to Justice Canada employees only.
Since August 17, Gambit ID has been the new application used by the Personnel Security Office to manage security screening, replacing PeopleSoft. From now on, all security screening requests must be processed in Gambit ID.
This course enables employees, students, candidates and contractors to understand the role of Gambit ID in the security screening process, to navigate the system efficiently, and to complete their security screening file.
Learning Objectives / Topics covered
- Understand the role of Gambit in the security screening process
- Explain why Gambit has replaced PeopleSoft for managing security screening.
- Describe, at a high level, the process from the initial request through to the decision to grant security clearance.

- Navigate the Gambit ID interface
- Log in to the system and access the various menus and sections.
- Understand the structure of the main tabs, fields and screens.
- Complete forms and provide identity documents
- Understand how to complete the required forms via the Gambit ID portal.
- Import/upload the necessary documents to the candidate’s file.
- Verify that the forms are complete.
- Manage errors and support requests
- Identify error messages and the steps to resolve them.
- Know when, how and to whom to submit a ticket to obtain assistance.
Client: Personnel security screening with the Centre of Expertise for Learning and Professional Development (CoELPD).
Registration deadline: 5 working days prior to the course date.
Participants are responsible for adding their training activities to their Outlook calendars.
