Description
Working remotely creates security vulnerabilities that require employees to make additional considerations to protect Government of Canada (GC) information from exposure to cyber threats and compromise. This training aims to help employees minimize the risks for working with sensitive information.
The goal of this course is to ensure employees understand and apply the Standard on Working Remotely with Justice Canada Information, enabling secure and compliant remote work practices.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify the types of information permitted for remote work and the conditions for access;
- Understand roles and responsibilities outlined in the Standard, including those of the Deputy Minister, DM Direct Reports, and employees;
- Apply mandatory procedures for handling Secret information remotely, including device usage, storage, and communication protocols;
- Recognize and respond appropriately to potential information security compromises;
- Follow special procedures for Cabinet Confidences and information from other government departments
