Description

This course will introduce key resources found on the legal database, HeinOnline. Significant collections to be explored in this session include the Canadian Content collection consisting of historical Canadian legislation, and the comprehensive Law Journal Library. Discover the library’s secret (but not-so-secret) research weapon and learn about the value of these legal resources when conducting legislative research, carrying out legal analysis, and staying up to date on new developments in legal topics.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Access HeinOnline
  • Create a user account
  • Locate legislation (federal and provincial)
  • Search for journal titles and articles in the Law Journal Library
  • Download content and share permalinks
