This session presents an introduction to the McGill Guide, the recognized standard for legal citation in Canada. Topics discussed also include the importance of a using a uniform system of legal citation, as well as some of the most significant changes observed to this citation style since its first edition in 1986.

By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to: 

- Access the McGill Guide

- Cite Canadian legislation

- Cite Canadian case law

- Cite secondary sources
