Description
Information is the most important non-human asset to the Government of Canada. It is essential to the management of each department’s human, financial and material resources and must be protected throughout its lifecycle in support of Justice Canada operations. Information is even more critical when it comes to administering programs. It has a strategic value which determines the level of sensitivity and how it is protected for those that depend on it.
This training session will demonstrate how to ensure that sensitive information is properly categorized as protected or classified and marked accordingly. It will also cover how to transmit, store and dispose of sensitive information under approved conditions in a controlled environment. The session will also show employees how to review protected and classified information for possible downgrading or declassification. The final part of the training will cover the basics of IT Security which will highlight the various types Phishing and the consequences of non-compliance.
