Description

Legal project management (LegalPM) can help legal professionals manage files more efficiently and effectively while meeting clients' expectations. In addition to substantive legal knowledge, clients increasingly expect efficient, predictable, and consistent legal services.

Topics covered

This session will provide an overview of LegalPM to the legal professionals of the Department of Justice Canada on the following topics:

  • How to implement legal project management principles in legal files in accordance with the Directive on legal project management?;
  • What are the benefits of LegalPM?;
  • Demonstration of the internal LegalPM tools that may be used to manage files with an emphasis on: Client service, practice management (productivity and efficiency), technology competence, communication challenges and stakeholder engagement;
  • The important role of a LegalPM coach.

Registration deadline: 5 working days prior to the course date.

Participants are responsible for adding their training activities to their Outlook calendars.
