Description

Part 1:

This session provides an overview of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) amendments and of the impact of these changes on staffing activities.

Part 2:

This session provides an overview of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) amendments and of the impact of these changes on staffing activities. This second session will put into practice the concepts learned in Part 1.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this learning avtivity, the participants will:

Part 1:

  • Have an understanding of the changes to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA);
  • Be aware of the role and responsibilities of each stakeholder with regards to the application of these changes;
  • Be aware of the resources available to mitigate biases and barriers in assessments;
  • Be able to identify potential biases and barriers and to find ways to remove or mitigate their impactbe
  • Better equipped to conduct fair assessments that meet the PSEA requirements.


Part 2: 

  • have put into practice their understanding of the changes to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA);
  • be aware of their own role and responsibilities with regards to the application of these changes;
  •  have put into practice their ability to identify potential biases and barriers and find ways to remove or mitigate their impact in the context of a case study and using the resources available;
  • be better equipped to conduct fair assessments that meet the PSEA requirements.
