Description

This course is part of the Disclosure Project Management series offered by National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services. Disclosure Project Management is the eDiscovery framework adopted ‎by the Department of Justice. This course provides focuses on the Review and Analysis Phase of the Disclosure Project Management Framework.

This course reviews some of the trends in discovery and document review, notably the establishment of specialized groups focused on the review of large collection of documents. What do specialized groups do differently?

Forget linear review: specialized groups like Justice's Evidence Management Team (EvMT) leverage the analytical tools in document review platforms to expedite document review and analysis. This course will demystify how EvMT tackles the review of large document collections, and explain some of the important Nuix Discover analytical tools that are critical to its work. The facilitators will explain how files are set up, reviewed, and analyzed using tools including concepts, search term families, computer-assisted review, and Nuix Discover's Map Pane. Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about EvMT's review and analysis process, and consider which tools could be adapted for us on their next review project.
