Description
The purpose of the training on the importance of empathy for effective leadership and teamwork is to help leaders and teams manage relationships in the workplace.
This training will provide participants with the tools necessary to develop empathy, namely curiosity, imagination, and listening skills. The training will allow participants to:
- Understand the essential questions to ask to demonstrate empathy,
- Identify practices to improve empathy
- Become aware of the biases that may hinder their ability to be empathic toward other
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Understand the value of leading with empathy
- Communicate more effectively (Empathetic listening skills)
- Understand one's own barriers to empathy
- How to maintain the empathetic mindset
Presented by: Informal Conflict Management System (ICMS) Team in collaboration with the Centre of Expertise for Learning and Professional Development (CoELPD).
