Description

The content in French for this course is currently being developed and will soon be available to participants.

This course is part of the Nuix Discover series offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). Nuix Discover (previously Ringtail) is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three types of courses in the Nuix Discover series: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on Nuix Discover Case Administration.

This course explains one of the fundamental concepts required to administrate any document review project: how to create an assignment in Nuix Discover. Creating an assignment involves creating a number of other components, including workflows, teams, phases, validation criteria, and binders. The course also explains how to create a more effective assignment by routing documents through a mine to cluster similar documents together, thus expediting the review process. The course finishes with a demonstration to ensure that participants fully understand how to create an assignment.

Topics covered:

  • Workflow planning (Part 1 – 7 :22)
  • Naming Conventions (Part 1 – 21 :04)
  • Validation Criteria (Part 1 – 32 :11)
  • Workflows and Phases (Part 1 – 39:09)
  • Creating and populating binders (Part 2 - 1:03)
  • Explaining mines (Part 2 – 3:34)
  • Populating Assignments (Part 2 – 19:17)
  • Managing Assignments (Part 2 – 27:36)
  • Reprioritizing documents and rebuilding assignments (Part 2: 32:32)
  • Tracking and reporting (Part 2: 39:34)
  • Demonstration (Part 3)
