Description

Designed to introduce Justice employees to Dispute Prevention and Resolution (DPR) processes. Participants will learn about the culture shift toward DPR, the importance of focusing on parties’ interests, and will hear about the origins of DPR through an examination of various international models. Participants will gain insight into the theoretical aspects of DPR processes including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. Participants will then focus on DPR in the specific context of the federal public service, and will have an opportunity to learn and apply, through interactive exercises and discussions, ways to improve their organizational processes by employing DPR processes.
