Description
The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act sets out a framework for achieving the objectives of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of this commitment, the Action Plan was released on June 21, 2023. This course provides an overview of the UN Declaration and the Act. Participants, including legal professionals and all public servants, will learn about how they can contribute to government efforts to implement the UN Declaration Act in consultation and cooperation with Indigenous peoples.

Presented by the Legislative and International Policy Unit, Aboriginal Law Centre, Indigenous Rights and Relations Portfolio in collaboration with the Legal Practices Policy Division (LPPD)
