Description
This course is designed to:
1. Increase legal advisers’ knowledge and understanding of the change of residence and relocation amendments, so that they can provide advice to clients on:
- the procedures they must follow; and
- the principles a court will apply to decide a relocation case.
2. Provide legal advisers with resources so that they can explore these issues further.
Topics covered:
- Module 1: Relocation framework - Overview
- Module 2: What is a relocation?
- Module 3: Notice
- Module 4: Once notice has been given
- Module 5: How the court will determine whether to permit the relocation
- Module 6: Parenting time expenses
- Module 7 : Contact orders and changes of residence
There is a final quiz that consists of 10 questions.
