Description
This course will provide participants with an introduction to national security and intelligence review as carried out by the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) and the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA).
- Historical context of national security and intelligence review prior to the creation of the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA) and the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP)
- What is national security and intelligence review?
- Mandates of NSIRA and NSICOP
- Rights to access information and to receive documents and explanations
- Reports
- Protection of sensitive information
- Cooperation/coordination with other review bodies
Registration deadline: 5 working days prior to the course date.
