Description

The assessment of Contingent Liability and Asset information is an essential component of litigation management and legal risk assessment and communication for Justice counsel. This course will provide practical guidance on the specific roles and responsibilities of Justice legal professionals in the contingent liability and asset reporting process. It will also incorporate the responsibilities of the Office of the Comptroller General and the Office of the Auditor General in the broader process. This course has a focus on applied learning and a case study will be considered, which will further assist participants in the practical assessment of contingent liability information.

  7. Using technology for reporting (using technology and entering information in the legal file management system at Justice)
  8. Case study – 45 minutes - Applied learning - direct application of skills, theories and models learned in this course
