Description

This hands-on workshop will help you prepare for your next interviews and understand the guiding principles of the Behavioural-Targeted Interview (BTI).

To help you prepare for future interviews, you will become familiar with the public service rating guide for assessing core competencies and practice using the Situation-Task-Action-Results (STAR) model.

 By means of live interview simulations and demonstrations, you will be invited to practice your interview skills with situational and past experience questions supporting the four core competencies:

  • Demonstrating integrity and respect;
  • Thinking things through;
  • Working effectively with others; and
  • Showing initiative and being action-oriented.

Learning objectives:

 At the end of this learning activity, the learner will be able to :

  • Prepare for a Behavioural Targeted Interview using the "Situation-Task-Action-Result" STAR model.
  • Build solid responses to interview questions as a result of understanding the competencies assessment.
