Description

This information session will provide participants with an overview of the legal and professional foundation of the Informal Conflict Management System (ICMS) Policy and its application at Justice Canada. Participants will :

  • Explore the definition and myths about conflict
  • Understand their roles, rights and responsibilities pertaining to conflict management
  • Become aware of the services and resources available to them and their teams to assist them in managing conflict constructively at Justice Canada

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this information session, participants will be able to:

  •  Define conflict in the workplace
  •  Provide an overview of the Department of Justice's Informal Conflict Management System (ICMS)
  •  Understand their roles and responsibilities, as Justice employees, in terms of conflict management
  •  Identify the services and resources available to assist Justice employees managing conflict constructively

As we enter into Phase III of Easing Workplace Restrictions ICMS is offering training in a hybrid format. After a long time apart, we will once again benefit from learning together in person.

If you work in the NCR take advantage of this onsite offer to enhance your learning experience. As there are limited seats available for "in person", it will be on a first come first served basis.

As some of our Practitioners work from other regions, they may be attending virtually.

Presented by: Informal Conflict Management System (ICMS) Team in collaboration with the Centre of Expertise for Learning and Professional Development (CoELPD).
