Description

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Please note that the Emergency First Aid training sessions have resumed in person. 

NOTE: The designation of this course has evolved: it was previously titled 'Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C, AED' (016289). This update is intended to standardize the terminology used, with no impact on the course content, which remains unchanged.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this learning activity, participants will learn:

  • the provision of basic first aid and the first aid attendant’s role and obligations in relation to basic first aid;
  • emergency scene management;
  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • medical emergencies;
  • shock and unconsciousness;
  • anti-contamination procedures; and
  • wounds and bleeding.

Presented by: Organizational Health Programs in collaboration with the Centre of Expertise for Learning and Professional Development (CoELPD).

Registration deadline : 5 working days prior to the course date.
