Providing feedback on the work or behaviour of others can be one of the most difficult tasks that we may perform as individuals, colleagues, supervisors or managers. When feedback is effective, it can build trust, enhance relationships, improve productivity and support the key values of the Department's Code of Conduct.
This course will focus on improving the effectiveness of your feedback by showing you the necessary strategies and tools to do so. Through a combination of theory and group exercises, you will have the opportunity to practice your learnings in a variety of situations.
To simulate a classroom experience, this course is centred around participant engagement and group work. To ensure that facilitators can organize breakout rooms with the correct number of participants and the group can fully benefit from these activities, we ask that you create space in your schedule to remain present for the entire session. If you need to step away from the session briefly, please advise the training facilitator at the beginning of the session.
Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this leaning activity, participants will be able to:

- List the characteristics of effective feedback
