This recorded course is part of a series of Nuix Discover courses offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). Nuix Discover is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three streams of Nuix Discover courses: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on Nuix Discover Analytics. Many review teams are beginning to use conditional coding templates instead of the traditional coding templates. This course explains the difference between the two types of templates. It also covers how to code individual or multiple documents using the conditional coding template. Finally, it covers how a reviewer can create macros to further expedite their review. We recommend downloading the MP4 presentation to allow participants to move backwards, forwards, and pause during the course.
Nuix Discover: Family Relationships and Family Coding
This course explains what document families are, and how to see them in NUIX Discover. It also explains how to modify a document relationship in NUIX Discover. Finally, the course explains how family coding works, including how quick codes, pick lists, and family ranking are used during the document review process.
Nuix Discover: New Features (2021) (Recorded)
This course is intended for legal professionals already licensed to use NUIX Discover. Legal professionals will learn about new features in NUIX Discover available to those with Group Leader or Reviewer permissions, such as the new analytical features and panes. Participants will also learn how to view, code, and redact their documents using NUIX Discover.
Nuix Discover: Reviewing and Coding Efficiently
This course is part of the NUIX Discover series offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). NUIX Discover (previously Ringtail) is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three types of courses in the NUIX Discover series: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on NUIX Discover Analytics. This course is intended for Reviewers who would like to learn how to use some of Nuix Discover's analytical tools to expedite their document review. Part 1 of the course explores how to pull and clear assignments, create binders, mass code, and use email threading. Part 2 of the course includes how to use the Hints or Related Pane for indications on how to code documents. It also covers keyboard shortcuts, redactions, and how to quality control document review work. We recommend downloading the MP4 presentation to allow participants to move backwards, forwards, and pause during the course.
Nuix Discover: Search Term Families and Document Review
This course is intended for Reviewers who would like to learn how to use Nuix Discover’s search term families in order to expedite their document review. The course explains how Reviewers can use search term families to code documents, to search for documents, and how to check keywords. It also covers how to use search term families to quality control coding decisions and use them to redact specific terms.
Nuix Discover: Using the Analytical Panes
This course is intended for Reviewers who would like to learn how to use Nuix Discover’s analytical panes effectively during document review. Part 1 of the course explores how to use the Map Pane to code documents, to identify documents with certain concepts or keywords, and to check their work. It also covers when and how to use the Timeline Pane. Part 2 of the course includes when and how to use the Related Pane and the Compare Pane. The presenters also provide a demonstration and a short quiz summarizing how to use of the analytical panes.
