Nuix Discover - Case Administrators: Fields
This course is intended for Case Leaders who would like to learn about the administrative permissions reserved for Case Administrators. The course covers types of fields and when to use each one, as well as the process to create and modify a field. It also covers family coding and ranking, and the creation of pick lists and quick codes. Finally, it covers system fields, viewing documents coded to each field, and creating a field report.
Nuix Discover - Case Administrators: Permissions, Security and Coding Templates
This course is intended for Case Leaders who would like to learn about the administrative permissions reserved for Case Administrators. The course covers the permissions and responsibilities of Case Administrators. It also covers how to alter the security of objects and levels, and why not to alter the security of features. Finally, it covers how to create and modify a traditional coding template.
Nuix Discover - Case Leader: Conditional Coding Templates
This course is part of the Nuix Discover series offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). Nuix Discover (previously Ringtail) is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three types of courses in the Nuix Discover series: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on Nuix Discover Case Administration. This course discusses the differences between Nuix Discover's traditional coding template, and the new conditional coding template. It explains conditions, how to plan to create a conditional coding template, and how use appropriate naming conventions. The last half of the course is a demonstration of how to create a conditional coding template, test the conditions, set the correct security permissions, and modify the template as appropriate. We recommend downloading the MP4 presentation to allow participants to move backwards, forwards, and pause during the course.
Nuix Discover - Case Leader: Review Setup
This course explains one of the fundamental concepts required to administrate any document review project: how to create an assignment in Nuix Discover. Creating an assignment involves creating a number of other components, including workflows, teams, phases, validation criteria, and binders. The course also explains how to create a more effective assignment by routing documents through a mine to cluster similar documents together, thus expediting the review process. The course finishes with a demonstration to ensure that participants fully understand how to create an assignment.

This course is part of the NUIX Discover series offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). NUIX Discover (previously Ringtail) is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three types of courses in the NUIX Discover series: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on NUIX Discover Case Administration. This course is intended for Case Leaders and Case Administrators who want to learn how to use search term families. The course walks participants through the process of creating search term families, testing them, and deleting and modifying search term families that don’t work. It also emphasizes the importance of using Excel, and tracking the search term families used as part of the document review project. Information covered in this course may be content that forms part of the theoretical and practical tests for Reviewers to become Case Leaders. NeDLSS offers three types of courses in the Nuix Discover series: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on Nuix Discover Case Administration. This course explains the different types of fields that exist in Nuix Discover. It provides information on naming conventions for fields, and how to identify the type of field you need. The course also covers picklists, including how to request quick codes, and how family coding works. It also covers how to run field reports. Nuix Discover: Building Effective Search Strings
This recorded course is part of a series of Nuix Discover courses offered by the National eDiscovery and Litigation Support Services (NeDLSS). Nuix Discover is the document review platform used by the Department of Justice. NeDLSS offers three streams of Nuix Discover courses: Basics, Analytics, and Case Administration. This course will focus on Nuix Discover Analytics. Building an effective search string is a required skill for all legal professionals. This course explains what what search strings are, how to build them, and how to use them in Nuix Discover. The presenters explain how to use different Boolean connectors. They also encourage participants to apply their knowledge by looking at different scenarios and identify the appropriate course of action. Note that the information in this course can be applied not only to working in document review, but also in conducting legal research. This course replaces Ringtail Analytics: Creating Effective Search Strings.
